First Day

Here are some tips for parents to read and review, to give them the easiest time possible attending the center.

Families provide their own lunches and snacks for their child.  We provide cow's milk at lunch, and will provide cold cereal in a pinch.

There is no microwave in the Preschool program. Heated meals should be packed in a thermos. The Infant Room and School Age have a microwave and will heat meals.

Allergens should not be brought to the daycare.

This currently includes:

  • Eggs

  • Peanuts and Treenuts

If your child has an allergy, let the staff know.

Children require two sets of footwear, in all programs.

This means:

  • A set of indoor shoes appropriate for play, such as sneakers, that are only worn indoors.

  • Appropriate outdoor footwear, such as shoes, winter boots, or rubber boots depending on weather.

Children's belongings (shoes, jackets, etc.) should be labeled with their name to avoid their items getting lost.

Bring extra clothes for your child, to insure against accidents, wet weather, or messy play.

All children must bring outdoor-appropriate clothes, such as a jacket, boot, mittens, and hat in winter.

The daycare has spare clothes for if a child loses or forgets an item, but they should not rely on these daily.

Parking

Parents can use the school parking lot closest to the daycare's doors.  These spots are reserved for parents dropping off children, but are not to be parked in all day.

Do not park or drop off in the bus loop during school hours.
